Study Abroad Application is now open!

Posted On: December 17, 2025, 12:00 pm

Dear Guelph Students,

The Study Abroad Online Application for the S26, F26, and W27 semesters is now available to students who have completed CIP's Study Abroad Information Session.

You will have received an e-mail with instructions how to complete the application.

Students are allowed to submit ONE online application for study abroad. You will be able to indicate your top 5 study abroad destination choices on that one application. If you have started more than one application you can delete the others by selecting "withdraw".

Please do not submit your application until after your Fall 2025 marks are showing on your unofficial transcript and included in your cumulative average. We cannot process your application properly unless we have your Fall 2025 grades.

You must submit your completed application before the deadline of 11:59pm, Friday, January 23, 2026.

Submitting Your Application – from the ‘Home’ tab, click ‘Submit Your Application’ in Step 4. The ‘Pre-Application Status’ should say ‘Submitted’

Confirmation Email – once you have properly submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email

OUI APPLICATIONS:

  • OUI Application – if you are applying to an OUI program (OBW or ORA exchange, language program or research abroad) the OUI application must be submitted by Friday, January 23, 2026.
    • OUI Exchange Application and Summer Language Application link here
    • Research Abroad Application link here
    • Note, you must also complete the CIP Study Abroad Application if you are applying to an OUI program

NUMBER OF EXCHANGE SPOTS AVAILABLE

Please review this table when considering your study abroad options and ranking.

  • Oceania?– note, Oceania (Australia and New Zealand) is very competitive and there are limited spots available. We do not recommend applying for Oceania unless your cumulative average is above 80%. Additionally, diversifying the countries you choose to apply to will improve your chances of being placed.

PROGRAM SEARCH

Please note that while we try to keep our Program Search as up to date as possible, we can'tguarantee complete accuracy.  It is up to students to research each university they are selecting to make sure that courses are offered that will meet their degree requirements.

PROBLEMS

Please email cipadmin@uoguelph.ca if you encounter problems with the application.

Good luck with your application and congratulations on choosing study abroad!
